Moving Daze

As I write this we are being "packed up" by the movers. It seems awefuly lazy to be just sitting her on my computer while everyone is working around me but short of cleaning out a few cupboards and packing a last suitcase, we are just about finished. I was thinking today about the fact that we are leaving and that I am not too upset about any of it. I really like the idea of staying at the Atlantis Hotel for a few days and I love the idea of visiting Hilton Head during a summer vacation and spending some time with JJ and family. I think having these things to look forward to are helping me with any anxiety I would have had. It is also nice that we have had time to say good bye to the closest friends we have.
I spoke with Mona the other day and her and I promise to stay in touch. She said my leaving is her final good bye to Dubai as she isn't too attached to anyone else here. She has an American phone in Denmark so I can call her for free whenever I want. I think that is pretty cool.
The boys got their yearbooks at the end of school, have had all the autographs from friends, all the parties and are now resting up and enjoying the final days. I think Alex may be the most miserable about leaving but he seems to be perking up as well.
My final struggle will be to figure out what to do with all the canned goods and food that I have left in my cupboards. I don't know of any places here in Dubai collecting for the poor and it is a shame, as I have quite a bit. I am going to ask around at the hospital.
